In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also adds the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
